Individual False Eyelashes

After discovering this video on youtube from the wonderful MUA Lisa Eldridge, i decided to give individual lashes a try. These ones are by Ardell and are in both the short and medium length, i used the clear Duo eyelash glue and followed the same technique as Eldridge :)

The Video:
The finished look:

I love how it's super natural, and much less obvious than strip lashes :)

All in all, these are really quick and easy to apply, and i LOVE the overall effect, very natural with a pretty almost 'fluffy' finish :)

Love these, everyone should give them a go!

Mini Sale Haul

A couple of things i have picked up in the sale:

KG Shoes £100  £49. But with a £20 gift card from Elle magazine they only cost me £29! :)

I love the androgynous style of these shoes

Fur collared coat from New Look £59.99  £24. Bargain! The coat is actually black but they don't have a picture of it on their website...

Img: Newlook
And finally:
These weren't in the sale but i have been toying with the idea of trying individual lashes, and after seeing a really helpful youtube video (thanks Lisa Eldridge!)on how to apply them, i thought i'd go for it :)
Ardell lashes in short and medium. The medium were £5.20, and the short were £3.49, i don't understand why the price difference was so big...

My Christmas Wish List :)
Hey guys, sorry we haven't blogged in a while, but we've been so busy! Lauren's at uni and I'm working for my gap year. So. I thought I would give you all a look into my xmas wish list :)  There are so many items on which I am completely undecided still, for example the shoes and coats, and I'll probs have to decide really soon! Enjoy! X
Other Bits and Bobs that I'm going to ask for. I don't think I'll be getting all of them at all, that would be very demanding of me :P I REALLY want the navy Joules scarf though asap so I might just buy that with my own money - I've tried it on and it's SO nice and warm. It's also really thick and knitted. I also need a new bra, so I thought the cute flowery bra from Oysho would be perfect. Also, at the moment I'm really into mix and match edgy earrings so when I found the ones from Topshop I was like OMG! I'm also into edgy/unique looking jewellery so that's why the earrings and claw ring are on there too. I also NEED black high tops converse - they go with so many things and are a fashion essential I lack in :P As for makeup, I'm really into bronze colours, so I picked the three shown.

Right, I have to choose ONE coat out of these three! If I could, I would buy all three, but unfortunately I don't have enough money :(  I've tried all three on and all of them feel really comfortable. I love the mulled wine colour of the duffle coat and I could feel that it was very warm and comfortable, however, it is a lot of money, but I know that I will wear it all the time and get some good use out of it for years to come. My next option is the Hollister one. I love the fur on the hood and I love the interior pattern. It does come up very short compared to the other two coats but it's so much more casual and I could wear it in the spring as well when it's just a bit too warm for a big coat. My final option is the New Look parka. I didn't actually like the colour at first but when I tried it on it was very complementary for my skin tone. I like the fact that you can create a waist line with the waist belt and obviously it is by far the cheapest option... Hmmmm.... Ahh why can't I jusy buy all of them?

LOVE anything that is in Urban Outfitters - especially their jewellery! I basically want all of these pieces of jewellery, BUT they are quite pricey, even for my parents to buy me, so I might just wait for the January sales and take a trip up to Oxford street then.

I really need some flat heeled boots for the coming months. I only have some with a huge heel, which is a bit impractical for walking London for example. I really like both styles to be honest. It's going to take me a while to decide.... :P

So yeah, that's my xmas wish list for this year :) Of course, I'm not expecting all of it, but it would be nice to get a few bits etc :)

Ciao!

A Few Snapshots of Ibiza

Hey guys, so at the beginning of this month Amy and I gave ourselves a well deserved break and headed over to the sunny island of Ibiza :) Had the most chillaxed holiday of my life, went to Ibiza Rocks, a little bit of clubbing, snorkelling, and of course a little cheeky bit of sun worshipping ;)

Mini Shoes!

Also, while in London i popped into Selfridges as they are celebrating their Shoe Gallerie's one year birthday (does not seem that long ago it opened!) To celebrate they had miniature versions of some of the shoes they sell, so i thought i take a photo to show the people who won't/can't make it into London to see them :)

Aren't they adorable!?
Everyone was cooing and awwing over them :P

Garnier BB Cream

Hey guys,

As well as buying some fur and knitted stuff from H&M on Monday, I also popped into Superdrug and picked up the Garnier BB Cream. This retails at £9.99 but for some reason i was only charged £7.99 at the till, but I didn't complain ;) (Just been on the website, they have it on offer atm for £7.99 so get down there!). I have heard so many rave reviews about this product so thought i would try it out myself.

Forever 21 on Oxford Street!

Hey Guys,
So today i went and enrolled at uni and then stopped by Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters on Oxford Street where my mum treated me to some jewellery (being a student i can now use the 'I'm poor, I'm a student' excuse). So i ended up leaving with a lovely fluorescent yellow F21 bag filled with some lovely goodies :)

Black and Gold

Hey everyone,

Thought i would post another nail tutorial, this time with black and gold nail varnish to give a modern take on a french tip :)

Les Nudes Geometric

Geometric Nude Nails
Hey guys, sorry we haven't updated our blog in a while, we have been on holiday to Ibiza (we'll write a post about that soooon ;) ) But today I was a bit bored and thought about experimenting with my nude nail varnishes and try and make them a bit more interesting to look at on the nails. SO, I used a Barry M white nail varnish, a KIKO nail varnish in 220 Satin Beige and a KIKO nail varnish in 322 Caffe Latte.
To start I just applied a different colour to each individual nail, sort of as a base colour. For example, on the thumb nail I used the white colour. Next, I just went a bit crazy and added the colours in mainly straight lines and boxes etc. If you want you could use even more colours ;)    And that's how I spent my afternoon :P  I hope you like this idea and try it out for yourselves. Send us some pictures of your own designs, we'd love to see them! :)

My favourite Nude Nail varnishes at the moment :)
I thought I would also show you guys my FAVOURITE nude colours at the moment. From left  to right (little finger to thumb): ELF in Mod Mauve; Collection 2000 in Milkshake; KIKO in 322 Caffe Latte; KIKO in 220 Satin Beige; Collection 2000 in Fruit Loop.
They are all really good prices as well. Unfortunately I don't think KIKO has any shops in England... but they do in Italy and Spain and I think you should be able to order online as well.

My favourite Nude Nail Varnishes at the moment - close up shot ;)

H&M Haul - Knit and Fur

Hi guys,

I popped into town yesterday to get some disposable cameras developed (Hoping for some pretty cool vintage looking shots of Ibiza! We also got an underwater camera too!!) and hopped on over to H&M in search for the fur scarf/lapel/collar that I had seen in someones YouTube haul.

DIY Friendship bands/bracelets/ribbons

HEY HEY guys, so i was lying in bed and thought it would be cool to give my friend a bracelet so we had matching ones i.e. a FRIENDSHIP BRACELET. But lets be honest, i couldn't be arsed to sit there and magically plait some thread together to create some kind of amazing piece of 'bracelet art' (sorry Amy- who shall be receiving this 'lazy person's friendship bracelet', and Elise you will be receiving one when i next see you.) But lets be honest, the meaning behind the bracelet is more important than the type of bracelet :P So lets get started shall we?

Summer Leopard Print Nails :D

Hey everyone, hope you're enjoying our lovely British Summertime..... To cheer myself up from all the drizzle outside i decided to create some cool leopard print nails using the new Konad set that i bought myself off Ebay a few days ago :) Unfortunately i forgot to take photos of me doing it step by step!! :( SO, i improvised and drew a step by step guide on my iPad :) so excuse the crappyness... Unfortunately i STILL don't have photoshop transferred from my old laptop to my new one so its not a very good guide :( But oh well!

LONDON - 19/08/11

Hey y'all, here's a quick photo bomb of our time in London last Friday. We went into LANDAN to celebrate A2 results, walked around Covent Garden, through Leciester Square, Trafalgar Square, and then past the marble arch up the Mall (just like proper royals!!! ;)) Went to see Buckingham palace and then chillaxed in St.James park where we took some OOTD's. Met a friend a bit later and had a super healthy dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, which consisted of Nachos and Fajitas ;)

Austria 2011

AUSTRIA 2011 - At the beginning of August, me and my family went to South-East Austria to visit family etc. We flew to Graz airport and then made our way south to a spa town called Bad Radkersburg, right near the Slovenian border. Austria is a beautiful country, all of the houses had pristine gardens with not a single flower out of place. Of course, where we were, there was not much going on entertainment wise, as it is quite a remote part of Austria, but there were village fetes almost every night in all the surrounding towns and villages, where people come together and celebrate the summer and their community. Usually during the day, we visited tourist sites, such as the tower at Frutten-Gießeldorf, where you could see Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria from. We also visited Riegersburg Castle and the town centre of Bad Radkersburg, where we did A LOT of walking and cycling. The beauty of Austria really inspired me with my art and I did lots of sketching out there of the flowers and landscapes. We only spent a week out there, but I could've spent a lot longer there, especially in the daily 30 degrees heat! :)

Hiya!

i probably should do a little 'Hi, I'm ______' post, you know tell you my name, what it is that i do... and all that junk. Basically we (Amy and Lauren (I'm Lauren)) started this blog to share photos and write stuff about holidays/travel/fashion/makeup etcetera etcetera :) At the mo Amy is in Austria getting brown (damn you.) while i'm stuck at home watching my tan fade a little more each day :'( sob. I've tried the fake tan, but i'm really not very good at it and it doesn't smell that great either. Anyway, that was completely besides the point...

well. i don't really know what else to say. i would like to say that we live in beverly hills, have celebrity boyfriend's, and have ten gazillion houses all over the world. but the truth is a little/a lot more boring than that. YEAH. so. wow i'm really struggling with this. i've met 'writers block' although i wouldn't really call this writing. haha.

i just got incredibly distracted by google translate. i did not know you could make it talk!! Just had to much fun writing things in english for it to be said in another accent (not language). hmm that's confusing, well i know what i mean :)

Yeah, im gonna wrap this up...

So i was thinking of doing an America Haul, but it was a while ago so i'm struggling to remember what i bought! Anyway, I'm going to try and do it for you tomorrow seeing as i don't really have anything to do atm.... Although i really should be memorising the highway code, i have my first driving lesson on Monday and i'm pretty terrified! haha, but i really want to be able to drive!

im also going to force Amy into writing her own 'intro' when she gets back (she's better at writing than me (not hard)), even though i didn't tell you anything about myself, except that i can't write and get distracted.

xo Lauren :D

USA

Hi guys, so at the beginning of July I went to the USA with my parents from the 2nd to the 15th :) it was definitely one of the best holidays i've been on so far. We started off in New York for four nights over the July 4th weekend which was incredible. the atmosphere was amazing and our hotel was right in the centre of times square.

After NYC we travelled over to Santa Monica, California for another four nights, seriously the most amazing place i think i have ever visited. I really wish i had grown up there, the beach, lifestyle and amazing style made me fall in love with the area. Of course we did the most touristy thing possible and went on a stars home tour, strangely really fun! Beverly Hills is so amazing, we also went on a VIP tour of warner bros which was so cool! Being a huge fan of Pretty Little Liars, ER and Friends meant i got to see where it is all filmed, i even went into Central Perk!!!!! An unforgettable experience, if you're ever in LA it's definitely something that you have to do :).

Unfortunately after four nights our time in Santa Monica was over :'( but then we went to VEGAS! woo!! seriously the most crazy place ever, it all seemed so unreal, it was almost like a little huge pretend world. But so much fun, we stayed in the MGM Signature and the hotel was HUGE, like HUGE huge. Anyway, i just wanted to share with you some photos from the trip (sorry if this becomes a huge photo bomb, i took 1300+ photos on the trip!)

Haul!

Hi guys! A quick little post of a collective haul. Don't worry i didn't buy this all in one go :P. I've recently had a summer clear out, and took to the sales to buy some stuff that I've been in 'need' of ;)

First stop: Primark! I've been pleasantly surprised with this seasons collection, found quite a few bargains :)
Burnt orange shirt - £12 or maybe £14?
